Prof Gergely György has been offered a Distinguished Fellowship at UCSB

Prof Gergely György has been offered a Distinguished Fellowship at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) hosted by the Sage Center for the Study of the Mind. As a Visiting Researcher Prof Gergely will give three one-hour public lectures on 17, 24 September and October 1.

Budapest CEU Conference on Cognitive Development 2012

The Cognitive Development Center hosted the second annual ‘Budapest CEU Conference on Cognitive Development’ from January 12-14, 2012 with great success. The conference was attended by 200 participants including the some of the most high profile representatives of cognitive science, young researchers and PhD students from Europe, North America and Asia. The conference included presentations on early social cognition, language acquisition, theory of mind and moral cognition.

  • Professors Gergely Csibra and György Gergely jointly receive the Jean-Nicod Prize for 2011

    The Jean-Nicod Prize is awarded annually in Paris by the Jean-Nicod Committee (Institut Jean-Nicod) to a leading philosopher of mind and philosophically oriented cognitive scientist. This year Gergely Csibra and György Gergely have been jointly awarded for their work in the field of cognitive science. The two professors will deliver a lecture series organized by the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) as part of its effort to develop the interdisciplinary field of cognitive science in France. The award ceremony will take place November 7, 2011.
